New Frontier: Gwendolyn's Rise Part 1

Back in the Woods of Lake Toccata, before Jimmy's transformation. 

"You're not saying we...?" Gwyneth looks to her sister shocked. 

"Probably not what you're thinking, but its time for a real leader to be in charge." Gwendolyn says with a smirk. 

"But he's been able to lead us this far!" Gwyneth retorts. 

"Do you really believe that to be true? He's the one who tried convincing you that we'd be able to get the tablet ourselves, we'd be dead!" 

"I still think you're wrong. We're humans now. Water doesn't have the same affect on us!" 

Gwendolyn is quiet for a long while, and simply starts walking off without a word. A dead, cold expression on her face. 

"Oh and now you're going to do this!" Gwyneth lets out in a sigh. "The humans ruined the Molkin, and you refuse to be associated with them, I get it. But you have to admit its what we are now! We can't change that!" 

This makes Gwendolyn stop dead in a tracks, a scowl forming on her face. She looks down at the tablet and begins to turn a few panels. 

"What are you doing sister...?" Gwyneth asks skeptically, trying to see what she is doing. 

"Tell me." Gwendolyn starts saying emotionless. "Where do your loyalties lie?" 

"What's that even mean? You know I want the Molkin back!" 

"Then riddle me this, why are you being so loyal to Galde? All he is doing is leading us down a path to peace, even after all the humans did to the Molkin. To our parents! To us!" 

"We'd be no better than the humans if we did what they did!" Gwyneth snapped. "The thing can't contain human spirits, that's why we hid it in the first place!" 

"Think for a moment sister. He wanted us to retrieve the tablet, human body or not we're weak to water. Does that show he cares for our well being?" 

"It wouldn't hurt us! It's only Molkin bodies that are injured by water! He knew that!" Gwyneth shouts as her rage begins to build up. 

"No. He thinks he's the boss of us since Mother and Father were eradicated with the rest!" Gwendolyn grows back to her. 

"So you're going to follow Galde? Or will you be smart and follow me?" Gwendolyn adds holding the tablet, as if ready to do something with it. 

"And if I say I'm following Galde?" Gwyneth asks crossing her arms. 

"Wrong answer." Gwendolyn says coldly, flipping a switch on the tablet and turning it to face Gwyneth. 

"What are you doing!?" she shouts out to her sister. 

"I'm letting you go free." Gwendolyn says with a smirk. 

The light engulfs the woods as well as Gwyneth. Beneath it her whole body alters. Her nose and mouth fuse together and become harder. They start taking on a darker and darker look, until they are become a black beak. Her head starts to reshape, becoming much smaller while her neck follows. Her eyes turn pure black as move to either side of her head, white feathers surrounding them.

Meanwhile, more rainbow colored feathers grow down her whole body. Gwyneth body shrunk down into her clothes, covering her completely. Two of her toes fused together to leave three feet behind, all spread out. They become clawed and very avian as they turn the same color as his beak. 

Gwyneth's arms contort as her hands leave her, turning into fur-covered wings. Behind her, a long tail elongates, not unlike a bird's. Finally, the light diminishes as Gwendolyn brings the tablet down. The small mound inside of Gwyneth's clothes eventually crawls out, revealing a parrot where the woman once stood. This puts a wide smile on Gwendolyn's face. As she reaches over, the parrot tries to run away. All Gwendolyn does is laugh as she catches her sister with ease. 

"Trying to run from your dear old sister?" she asks into the parrot's face. "No matter how hard you try, the spell I cast bounds you to me. You can't run!" she gives off a hearty laugh. "You're as free as a bird now! Only well...not so free." she adds only to laugh harder in the parrots face. "Look at me, look how human I am! Destroying other people's lives without their consent! Maybe you're right! Maybe I am human now! I'll go jump in a pool and swim!" Gwendolyn laughs hysterically. After her little outbreak she puts Gwyneth the Parrot on her shoulder. She tried to fly off, finding herself unable to. "Silly little bird, you're a bad listener aren't you?" Gwendolyn says stroking Gwyneth's head. "If I want you on my shoulder you're forced to sit on my shoulder. Learn to love it, I don't see myself letting you go many other places." 

"Now let's go take care of that brother of our's hm?"
